Photographs from Scobie Road in the Clare Valley

Scobie Road runs about 500m north and 2km south from my place, Elysium, in the Clare Valley of South Australia.

Looking back at this page in August 2021 I am reminded of how a low mist and early morning light can produce a beautiful view. On another page photos taken using my drone emphasise that observation.

The images on this page have been compressed for faster loading - this may lead to some noticeable loss of quality in some images.

Horse and fog
It is not often that a horse will place itself so well when I'm looking for photos.

Early morning view
Early morning view - into the light. Summer

Since taking this photo a house has been built and many trees have been planted; the view is no longer available as it is here; the great tree is still in place.

Winter view
Very much the same view as the photo above; this one taken in winter.

These two pictures show how greatly lighting can change a view.
